Yeah but their 3D demonstrations are cookie-cutter and they won’t provide me with full functioning trial, plus their twitter and facebook accounts are out of date, yet they keep calling my cell almost on a monthly basis.. It does a lot of things well, but if you are very comfortable with classic or HydraCAD you’ll be confused by a lot of concepts, like the control surfaces the way the software wants you to draw your pipes. I would love to be able to try the new one out, but the company I work for uses hydracad. I’m am sure your boss could strike up the same kind of agreement. I will say that autoSprink has saved up more time for the cost.

Go ahead a do it share a photo, sprinkcadd a question. Haven’t played with the new one, but the original sprink-cad 3D they had out around was amazing! Most jobs we do require little 3D coordination.
I know you want to. It does an OK job in my opinion, but is mostly useful if you do a lot of 3D design – it feels like there could be some benefits there. And flights to Vegas are cheap!
There is a known issue with AutoCAD I think most other software is now also fairly decent in the 3D world, so I think you’re best argument is how much time AutoSprink will save you and increase your productivity.
It’s neat, but some things are way more complicated now and long winded. We have 8 designers spirnkcad pay for 8 licenses of sprinkcad.
I’ve used HydraCAD in the past as well. So have anyone had a chance to play around with it? It seems promising and moving towards autosprink, but since launch, they had sprinkcaad message up:.
Also biggest gripe so far is that using the BA command to break a pipe causes the new pipe to become undefined and no longer recognized as a main or branch, it’s just a line. The amount you had to spend at the supplier was not a large amount. Sometimes I take upon myself to redraw duct and structural in 3D and hassle duct contractor to make some changes: I would love to be able to try the new one out, but 3c company I work for uses hydracad.
All we had to do buy x amount from them and they gave us the license and autocad.

I’m am sure your boss could strike up the same kind of agreement. Issue 2 is that their stocklisting software is still buggy, despite their claim: Become a Redditor and join one of thousands of communities. But if what you do is mostly sprincad, then I can’t see why you would want to interrupt your workflow for this software We only have one designer.

The menus such as the “connect heads to pipe” all feel like they were taken straight from Autosprink. Their “famous” and non-intuitive “Strategies” are still there. When my old company purchased AutoSprink about 8 years ago, I was able to convince them because AutoSprink was the only decent 3D sprinkler software srinkcad there.
I could maybe see how HydraCAD would be superior if you were mainly doing fast 3 day design jobs were the 3D feature isn’t necessary. Welcome to Reddit, the front page of the internet.
